30 August 2011:

David Lawson into finals of major Photo Awards
North East based photographer, David Lawson has won a merit prize in a major international photography awards.

David is now in the finals of the forthcoming Master Photographer of the Year Awards 2011. The Awards are run by The Master Photographers Association (MPA), the UK’s most respected organisation for professional photographers.

David now goes forward to the final judging and faces a nervous few weeks while he waits until the Awards Ceremony in October when the overall winners will be announced. The Master Photography Awards 2011 presentations ceremony will be held at the Gateshead Hilton in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne on Sunday 9 October.

MPA Chief executive, Colin Buck made this comment on David’s achievement: “It is exciting to reach the Merit award stage of judging as David was in competition with the very best photographers in the world. There were over 2,500 images submitted this year so to be awarded a Merit prize is a real success, well done to David , and good luck in the final!”

Michael Stubbs and Danielle Hope were both Crown the the North East Sunderland Echo’s Face and 2011.
The fashion shoot taken at the North East Leading studio “David Lawson Photography Studio” based in Chester Road Sunderland.

Having won Fashion Photography Awards many times over the last 25 years you can really see the difference.
Michael Stubbs was quoted as saying “Everything has exploded since I won the title and the future is looking great.

David stepped in and re shot the wedding after the couple were dissapointed with the original photographer.
David said the re shoot went great but only hopes new brides looking for a Proffessional Wedding Photographer do more research being in the business for over 25 years you know just how many bad part time amateurs are spoiling the bride and grooms big day with poor or average wedding photography.
Having a good camera does not make you a good photographer the same as having a great paint brush does not make you a great artist.
Creativing and experience knowing what to do when the great British weather is not going your way all these things cannot be bought or taught only earned over the years.

SAFC Team Decend at Studio for Photoshoot New Shirt Launch

We have just finished shooting new pictures for the latest new strip for Sunderland AFC which was released on Saturday.
The team arrived over a few hours at our studio for a great shoot with different players.
David also shoots the team pictures and much more.
We helped raise over £25000 for the SAFC foundtion last year by producing a limited edtion calender which sold straight out.

Having recently returned from an incredible off road bike tour of North West Thailand with two of my friends Colin Carter and Andrew white. David Lawson awaits a final decision from St James Palace on being considered a Royal photographer at the wedding
of H.R.H Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton at their wedding this year.
