David Lawson into finals of major Photo Awards
North East based photographer, David Lawson has won a merit prize in a major international photography awards.
David is now in the finals of the forthcoming Master Photographer of the Year Awards 2011. The Awards are run by The Master Photographers Association (MPA), the UK’s most respected organisation for professional photographers.

David now goes forward to the final judging and faces a nervous few weeks while he waits until the Awards Ceremony in October when the overall winners will be announced. The Master Photography Awards 2011 presentations ceremony will be held at the Gateshead Hilton in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne on Sunday 9 October.
MPA Chief executive, Colin Buck made this comment on David’s achievement: “It is exciting to reach the Merit award stage of judging as David was in competition with the very best photographers in the world. There were over 2,500 images submitted this year so to be awarded a Merit prize is a real success, well done to David , and good luck in the final!”

Face of 2011 Sunderland Echo Fashion Photography

Michael Stubbs and Danielle Hope were both Crown the the North East Sunderland Echo’s Face and 2011.
The fashion shoot taken at the North East Leading studio “David Lawson Photography Studio” based in Chester Road Sunderland.
Having won Fashion Photography Awards many times over the last 25 years you can really see the difference.
Michael Stubbs was quoted as saying “Everything has exploded since I won the title and the future is looking great.

Take That on the start of their tour was a great place to be with our camera’s.
This shot was taken by our very own Miss Wendy Auld from New Zealand who has been apart of Davids team for a few years now.Wendy shot this image on the Friday night and the Friday night was covered by David on the Saturday.
This was no ordinary show as the boys pulled off one of the greatest music and theatrical performance i have ever seen.
With our official passes we could go where only the few were allowed.

After meeting Liam and Noel back stage and shooting the offical photography at the Stadium of Light tour the guys were great with me.
Nothing like you would expect but very cool customers.
This shot was taken in the press area right in front of all the crowds and to stay the sound was loud is an understatment.

David Lawson having toured part of the USA last year on a Harley Davidson and seeing some of the best sights possible from a motor bike, i just thought i would share a few of the fond memories with you guys and girls.

Route 66 one of the most interesting roads i have ever traveled accros, the day we arrived in this little town we can across athe Loftlin River Run which happens once a year where 1000s of Harley Owners come together.
We ended up riding in a formation of about 50 bikes together a great feeling.

Last night at the Hilton Hotel Newcastle the North East Master Photographer 2009 took place and winning not 1 but 3 major awards from Fashion, Fuji 10 images from one wedding and also taking the Commercial Photographer of the year North East 2009.

This will be the a hattrick for the studio 3 wins in a row for the Fashion Photography award.
