I’m Josh, a third-generation photographer at David Lawson Photography Studios, continuing a family craft that’s been built over decades. Growing up in the studio shaped how I see photography — not as images for today, but heirlooms for the future. My focus is creating refined, emotive portraits that feel natural, timeless, and deeply personal, combining modern creativity with the standards our family name is known for.

I’m David, founder of the studio and a professional photographer since 1984. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing thousands of families, weddings, and life’s milestones, with work recognised nationally and internationally. What matters most to me is that our photographs don’t just look beautiful — they become part of a family’s story, passed down through generations.
