About The Christmas Sessions
Christmas is one of our favourite times of year at Lawson Studios, and our Christmas Mini Sessions are back for 2026.
Held at our professional photography studio in Sunderland, these relaxed 30-minute sessions are designed for children, siblings and families who want beautiful, festive photographs to keep and share for years to come.
With two Christmas sets, two outfits changes of your own and family photographs welcome, we’ll create a lovely variety of images while keeping the experience fun and relaxed for the children. We welcome families from across Sunderland and the wider North East, including Durham, Newcastle, Washington, Seaham, South Shields, Gateshead and surrounding areas.
Whether this is your first Christmas photoshoot with us or part of a family tradition, we can’t wait to welcome you into the studio and create a little Christmas magic together.

Two Sets. Two Completely Different Looks.
Your session includes photography across two beautiful Christmas sets, giving you plenty of variety from one photoshoot.
Come dressed and ready in your first Christmas outfit, then bring one additional festive outfit or pair of Christmas PJs for your second look.
Changing facilities are available at the studio.
Christmas Photos for the Whole Family
Christmas photographs don’t have to be just for the little ones.
We’ll photograph your children and siblings, but Mum, Dad, older brothers and sisters are welcome to join in too.
Whether you’d love photographs of the children on their own, siblings together or a beautiful Christmas portrait of everyone, we’ll create a lovely mixture during your session.
Our Christmas sessions are particularly popular with younger children, but there is no strict age limit.
