David and Josh are a father & son team with over 45 years of experience between them photographing maternity portraits. To date they have photographed over 12,000 beautiful mums and their families since opening their studio in 1984.
David & Josh are also proud to say they are winners of the prestigious “North East & UK Maternity Photographer of the Year” award.
David & Josh have their own unique approach when it comes to taking you and your babies pictures. At their state of the art studio, they have all of the backgrounds, clothes and props to hand to personalise your session.
They capture timeless, natural and uniquely creative pictures of your baby. As you will see, we never do one shoot the same but if you would like to recreate a shot you’ve seen, please let us know!

Session Types
My 1st Year is our most popular newborn and baby package we offer. It’s perfect for those who was to capture their babies growth over first 12 months of their life in the world.
Included in this amazing package are 3 photo shoots in the studio, each lasting up to 60 minutes. These will be taken when your baby is Newborn, 6 Months & their 1st Birthday. Also included is a 7×5 print of your choice from each session.
Our Bump to Baby package is popular with those who want to capture their journey through their pregnancy to giving birth to their newborn baby.
Included in this package are 2 photo shoots in the studio, one with your bump and one with your newborn baby. Also included is a 7×5 print of your choice from each session. This package perfectly shows the before and after pregnancy shots for you to have and to love forever.
We offer a one off photo shoot for you to bring your newborn baby into the studio. We normally advise you to bring them in at a week or two old before they start growing too fast. This session will perfectly capture them in the most beautiful way.
Using all the props, clothing and backgrounds we have, we can personalise and tailor the session to what you’d like to see your baby in. Included in your package is a 60 minute studio session and a 7×5 print of your choice.
This style of photo shoot is for those beautiful mum’s expecting their newborn baby very soon. We want you to have a record of your pregnancy, so why not get all dressed up, have your hair & makeup done and have some amazing pictures taken.

Let us know why you are having these pictures taken. Is it for a special occasion or just you have never had a professional photoshoot taken before. David & Josh will ask you what kind of pictures you’d like taking.
They will talk you through what outfits to bring, what combinations work best and what they can offer before, during and after the photoshoot. They want to personalise your experience as much as possible.
David or Josh will be be there to welcome you to the studio on arrival. They will take you up to their state of the art studio and talk you what will happen over the next 60 minutes.

Usually 2-3 Weeks after your photoshoot, you will be invited back to the studio to see the best pictures from your session. So sit back and relax as you watch your pictures on the big screen.
Try to hold the tears back as you relive each moment. David or Josh will talk you through their handmade and bespoke products for you to choose from.
