📸 A very special night celebrating 25 years of the Foundation of Light

David had the privilege of photographing the Foundation of Light’s 25th Anniversary Gala Awards Dinner at the Beacon of Light — a fantastic evening celebrating a quarter of a century of changing lives across Sunderland and the North East. ❤️🤍

The evening brought together supporters, partners, Sunderland AFC representatives and some familiar faces from the club’s past and present, but the real stars of the night were the inspirational people at the heart of the Foundation’s work.

17 awards were presented, recognising participants, volunteers and supporters whose stories highlighted the extraordinary impact the Foundation continues to have — from helping young people into employment and creating opportunities through sport, to supporting physical and mental wellbeing.

Hosted by Frankie Francis and Sky Sports presenter Tom White, the evening also welcomed Foundation founder and Chair Sir Bob Murray CBE, while former Sunderland favourites Kevin Phillips and Marco Gabbiadini took on auctioneer duties. The celebrations continued with live music from The Lake Poets and The SoundHouse Band.

For David, it was a real honour to be there with his camera, capturing the people, the celebrations and all those special moments from such an important milestone in the Foundation’s history.

Congratulations to everyone at the Foundation of Light on an incredible 25 years — and here’s to the next 25. 👏📸❤️🤍

Some weddings just mean that little bit more ❤️

A huge congratulations to Mathew & Courtney, who celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Ramside Hall, followed by an incredible evening in the Barn Marquee.

Mathew isn’t just one of our grooms — he’s Josh’s best mate, with Josh having the honour of standing beside him as Best Man. So for this one, Josh swapped the cameras for a suit, while David took over behind the lens to capture the day from start to finish. 📸

It was brilliant to see two people we know so well surrounded by their family and friends, celebrating, laughing and making memories together.

An amazing day, a packed dance floor and plenty of moments we know they’ll look back on for years to come.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Kirby❤️🥂

Laura & Alex — Just Married in Sunderland 🤍

From first meeting in the Board Inn, to getting engaged at the Trevi Fountain in Rome, and now officially becoming husband and wife at Sunderland City Hall 🥂

After a beautiful ceremony in the Mayor’s Parlour, we headed outside for the confetti, took a walk across Keel Crossing Bridge, jumped into a Tesla Model X and made our way down to Roker Beach for some photographs with the lighthouse in the background.

Then it was on to the Queen Victoria to carry on the celebrations!

Such a relaxed, fun day with a brilliant couple. Congratulations again, Laura & Alex — we loved capturing it for you both 🤍

Huge congratulations to Alex & Josh 🤍

What a day at Ramside Hall — married in the beautiful Fountain Room, followed by a sun-filled celebration in the Barn Marquee. The drinks were flowing, the speeches brought plenty of tears and laughter, and the dance floor definitely didn’t disappoint!

This one felt extra special for us too, as David photographed Alex’s parents’ wedding around 30 years ago — a lovely full-circle moment to now be there capturing Alex & Josh’s day.

Such a warm, fun couple and an amazing summer wedding from beginning to end. Congratulations again to you both — we loved being part of it! 🥂☀️

There’s something special about capturing a wedding day — the moments you see, and the moments you might have missed. 📸🎥

Photography freezes the memories, while film brings them back to life.

Two ways to relive one incredible day, for years to come.

Memories made. Moments captured. Forever yours.

What's better than Dancing with the Ones you love the most?!

No one wants to be the first on the dance floor but as soon as the Couple does you get shots like this!

We capture all aspects of your wedding day but make sure you save enough energy for the first dance and for the songs to follow after.

Alex & Ryan's home wedding celebrations! Hope you're both enjoying married life!
