Basset Hound Photography Sunderland - Three Beautiful Hounds Visit OUr Studio

Earlier this year, we welcomed three beautiful Basset Hound dogs into our Sunderland photography studio for a pet photography experience their owners will never forget.

As pet photographers, we meet all kinds of dogs throughout the year, but Basset Hounds always bring something special. Their distinctive appearance, long ears, expressive eyes, and laid-back personalities make them one of the most recognisable dog breeds in the world. For this particular session, we had the pleasure of photographing three Basset Hounds together, creating a collection of portraits that perfectly showcased their individual personalities and the bond they shared.

Dogs, cats and the whole family

Whether your dog is playful, your cat is calm, or your pet has a personality all of their own, we work patiently to capture natural expressions and meaningful portraits.

Family members are always welcome. Some of the most powerful images come from the connection between you and your pet.

A Basset Hound Photography Experience
Designed Around Their Personality

Every pet photoshoot is different, and that’s exactly how we like it.

Rather than forcing poses or expecting perfect behaviour, we create a relaxed environment where pets can be themselves. This allows us to capture natural expressions and genuine moments that owners instantly connect with.

The three Basset Hounds settled into the studio brilliantly. While each dog had its own character, together they created some fantastic interactions and expressions that made for memorable photographs.

Our aim during every pet photography session in Sunderland is to create images that feel authentic and timeless rather than staged.

Using Different Backgrounds to Create Variety

One of the advantages of a professional studio environment is the ability to create several different looks during a single session.

For these Basset Hounds, we used a combination of black, white, and blue backgrounds to produce a varied collection of portraits.

The black background created dramatic, striking images that highlighted the dogs’ features and expressions. The white background offered a bright, clean look that felt contemporary and elegant. Meanwhile, the blue background added a touch of colour and personality while complementing the rich tones of the dogs’ coats.

By changing backgrounds and lighting setups throughout the session, we were able to provide the family with a wide selection of images to choose from.

From Photographs to Beautiful Wall Art

The experience doesn’t end when the photoshoot finishes.

After their session, the family returned to our Sunderland studio to enjoy their private cinema-style viewing experience. Seeing their images displayed on the big screen allowed them to appreciate the photographs in a completely different way.

Like many of our clients, they quickly realised these images deserved more than simply living on a phone or computer.

They chose stunning wall art for their home, transforming their favourite portraits into beautiful pieces of artwork they can enjoy every day. Seeing pet portraits displayed proudly in a family’s home is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
