Over 40 years ago, David opened the doors to our photography studio with a camera, a passion for people, and a belief that real moments deserve to be remembered. Since then, he’s photographed thousands of weddings, families, milestones, and memories across Sunderland, the North East, and beyond.

But if you’ve ever met him, you’ll know it’s never just about the photo.
It’s about how he makes you feel — relaxed, confident, and seen.

Some wedding stories come full circle…

Over 30 years ago, David photographed Jennifer’s mum on her wedding day.

This time it was Jennifer’s turn — and this time, it was David’s son, Josh, behind the camera, capturing every moment as she married Gary at the stunning Le Petit Chateau.

Yesterday, Holly & Hayden became Mr & Mrs Phillips
…and what a day it was at the stunning Slaley Hall!

From meeting as awkward teenagers to a sunset proposal at Jap Fest, their story is full of personality, laughter, and a shared love of cars (and cats). Yesterday, that story reached a beautiful new chapter—with the most genuine, joy-filled wedding surrounded by family, friends, and just a little bit of wedding expertise from Holly herself!

Finding the perfect wedding venue isn’t just about ticking boxes—it’s about that feeling when you step into a space and just know. The North East has this quiet magic about it. Countryside manors, coastal hideaways, modern barns, old stone halls… there’s something for every kind of love story.

I’ve photographed weddings in so many different spaces up here, and what always stands out isn’t just how beautiful they look—it’s how personal they feel. The venue becomes part of the story, part of the memory. It sets the scene for everything that follows.

Love At Lambton Castle ❤️

Photographing this couple at Lambton Castle was something special.

Every corner of the castle gave us something different. That soft afternoon light pouring through tall windows. Stone archways that framed them like a painting. The gardens, wild and romantic, where they had a quiet moment just the two of them.
