About Emma & Matt
Emma is originally from the north east but after meeting her fiance Matt, they moved back down south to where Matt is originally from. To Emma’s surprise, Matt took her to Hareshaw Linn. A beautiful little village in the Northumberland Countryside. It was here where he walked her up the path towards the Waterfall. She had no idea what was about to happen next as Matt got down on one knee and popped the questions. ” WILL YOU MARRY ME?” of course Emma said yes and the rest was history.
Late last year, we were contact by Emma and Matt to say they were coming back up to the North east to visit family and were we free to chat about the wedding. Of course, we said yes and they came into the studio to talk about their big day.
They have chosen Matfen Hall in Northumberland as their wedding venue. It’s a fantastic old hall, with the most amazing staircase and stain glass window as you enter the great hall. We couldn’t have been happier once they asked us to photograph their wedding.
In Summer 2019, we traced their steps back to the moment when Matt proposed to Emma. They wanted to capture the most amazing pictures up at Hareshaw Linn as this place means so much to them. We trekked for longer than we thought, exchanged stories along the way and WOW that waterfall is breathtaking. Josh had never been here before but it wont be the last time either. We all had such a laugh and took some of the most best pre wedding photos we think we have ever taken.
We are so excited for the wedding now and can’t wait to see what’s in store.

David and Josh are a father and son team who specialise in Wedding Photography. David and his dad set up the business back in 1984 on Chester Road, Sunderland. Now with Josh they are the north easts most sought after wedding photographers. They love Ramside Hall! David has been photographing weddings there for over 25 years and even watched his sister and many other friends get married there. You could say David knows the place like the back of his hand.
David has also been fortunate enough to photograph John and Suzanne who own and run Ramside Hall. They have since became good friends and used Josh and David for Christenings, Birthdays and Family Portraits.
