Jordan Henderson at Sunderland AFC
For over 25 Years we photographed every player for Sunderland AFC. When Jordan joined the football club, we photographed his personal and team headshots. We were fortunate enough to do this on several occasions before he hit the big leagues becoming England captain. In the Studio and out at the Stadium of light we got to know Jordan on a personal level. David’s dad and his brother in law new Jordan’s family personally.
At Sunderland, we were also involved taking pictures for promotional and advertising jobs. This involved taking pictures of the Team, the Staff, Merchandise, Game Days and much more.
Liverpool Football Club
Jordan Henderson is Liverpoolβs fifth European Cup-winning captain.
The midfielder joined the illustrious Steven Gerrard by leading the Reds to Champions League glory in Madrid in June 2019.
Hendersonβs standing at Liverpool was underlined when he became the clubβs vice-captain in September 2014. Before he then took the armband on a permanent basis in July 2015 following Gerrardβs departure.
A player whose physical, mental and footballing gifts enable an ability to excel in a variety of midfield roles, Henderson has made more than 300 appearances for Liverpool under three different managers.
However, a late-season switch to a more advanced post saw Henderson flourish in the latter stages of a 2018-19 campaign that ended with Liverpool boasting a club-record total of 97 points in the Premier League and the crown of European champions.
England
A favourite son of Sunderland, and a robust and reliable part of both England and Liverpoolβs midfield which has seen him become a Three Lions regular.
With a good range of passing and intelligent link play, Hendersonβs never-say-die attitude and commitment to the cause mean heβs one of Englandβs leading players in the centre.
A former captain of England U21s, Henderson started off his career with his hometown club where his top-flight form saw him head to Anfield in 2011. His development continued on Merseyside, playing alongside former England captain Steven Gerrard before taking on the Reds’ captaincy following his departure.
